Fresh Peruvian Ginger Root (250g)
Did you know Peruvian ginger root offers better health benefits than Chinese ginger root that you find. This is down to the higher concentration of gingerol and shogaol, which are the beneficial compounds in ginger root. Peruvian ginger root have 3 times the concentration, though is far small than the ginger root that you find in the supermarket. I have grown some ginger root in the past and have a bunch of rhizomes, that is the ginger root, that have actually sprouted a few buds. I have in the past grown the root myself. Before I started growing mine I was stuck to Youtube seeing people in obviously very warm climates grow ginger in huge amounts. Some great videos out there. I got organic compost and I halved a 5l water container. One half of the bottle I put holes into which will hold the soil and the other half underneath to catch and hold any water draining off. I grew mine just at some sliding doors. I dream to have space for a polytunnel, one day.
